A teenager who was caught with a “Rambo” knife In High Wycombe has been locked up in a young offender’s institution.

18-year-old Rohan Mckie, of Kinson Green in Aylesbury, was caught in High Wycombe on June 15 with two knives, one of which was a “Rambo”-style weapon.

A Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on August 2, Mckie admitted to possession of a knife and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He was caught with the weapons in Malvern Close.

As well as the Rambo knife, he also had a three-inch folding knife in his possession.

Rambo knives typically have a long straight blade with one serrated edge, similar to the weapon wielded by Sylvester Stallone when he played John Rambo in the film First Blood.

The magistrates sentenced Mckie to a 12-week sentence in a young offender institution.

He was also ordered to pay £128, and both the weapons are due to be destroyed.
