A countryside restaurant and bar could install some new overnight getaway cabins – if granted permission.

Mr Nick Mash has submitted plans relating to The Mash Inn, on Horseshoe Road, Bennett End in Radnage.

Plans outline the ‘use of land for the stationing of seven mobile cabins to provide visitor accommodation in connection with The Mash Inn’.

The plan explains the cabins would be located towards the southern and eastern boundaries of the site.

A new vehicle access, and 38, up from 28, parking spaces are also proposed.

“It is proposed to remove the existing structures to the north of the car park, extending the car park northwards, with a new access formed off Horseshoe Road,” a planning statement reads.

Adding: “The existing access would be closed up.”

The Mash Inn already has some guest accommodation on site.

In 2016, a pre-application for six cabins was submitted.

The proposed scheme could “significantly enhance the long-term sustainability and viability of the business at a critical and difficult time for the hospitality industry and, by doing so, offers the best prospect of protecting the Asset of Community Value”.

The applicant is now awaiting a decision from Bucks Council.
