Police are awaiting a forensic report to help determine whether criminal action will be brought after a Slough woman was killed in a horror crash in Chalfont St Peter.

On October 10 last year, at around 2.30am, 23-year-old Simran Johal, who was known as Simmy, died following a car crash on the A413.

Simmy was a passenger in a blue Volkswagen Golf, which lost control at a roundabout, causing it to flip onto its roof.

At a brief pre-inquest review held at Beaconsfield Coroners’ Court this morning (Thursday), senior coroner for Buckinghamshire Crispin Butler provided an update on the police investigation into Simmy’s death.

He said: “There is an ongoing Thames Valley Police investigation into the incident on the A413 in Chalfont St Peter in which Simmy appears to have died.

“The forensic investigation report is required before the papers can be submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service.

“I am not aware of any homicide charges, nor any individual appearing in court to answer such charges.”

Mr Butler concluded by adjourning the hearing to a further pre-inquest review on December 16.
