A Bucks car thief has avoided jail but has been ordered to complete a “thinking skills” course.
Joe Lake, 28, of The Holt, Buckingham, appeared at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on August 11 where he admitted a charge of aggravated vehicle taking.
The court heard how between March 13, 2020 and March 15, 2020, Lake unlawfully took a Toyota Yaris in Winslow.

When the vehicle was recovered, it was also found to have been damaged.
The magistrates did not opt to give Lake a jail sentence, instead giving him a community order requiring him to undertake a 30-day thinking skills course.
He was also ordered to pay £800 in compensation and banned from driving for a year.
