A member of the public stopped a child from being abducted with a 38-year-old man being arrested as part of a police investigation.

The man had hold of a boy aged around ten but he fled the footpath by Watling Street as the passerby intervened at 2.45pm on September 15.

Police are still looking to identify the boy after he told the member of the public that he did not know the man.

"He was wearing a green t-shirt and black jogging bottoms.

"He was carrying a dark coloured backpack.

“If you know or think you might know who the boy is then please contact Thames Valley Police as soon as possible.
