Bisham Abbey has announced they’re throwing open its doors to the public this Christmas.

Guests can visit Henry VIII and Elizabeth I's former home for an afternoon tea experience over the festive period.

During December, the Grade I listed abbey will also host Christmas Parties for friends, families, and colleagues to celebrate together.

A special visitor will also arrive to keep young families entertained at festive lunches with a Santa event in the stunning grounds on the banks of the River Thames.

For £17.50 per person, visitors can tuck into a special festive-themed menu with a selection of traditional options including Turkey and Cranberry sandwiches, Traditional Scones, Mince Pies and Christmas Cake.

Matthew Humphreys, General Manager at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre said: “We love the festive period so much we are celebrating all month!

"We’ll be offering a variety of events which are open to anyone who fancies enjoying the Bisham Abbey festive experience.

“We’re helping to bring friends, families and colleagues back together again for a more normal Christmas this year.

“I’d recommend checking in on our website or keeping an eye on our Facebook page, so you know exactly what’s happening and when.”
