A High Wycombe thug who destroyed a signed poster has been ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation.

David Lindsey, 56, of Chapel Lane, committed acts of criminal damage on June 25 when he damaged an oil lantern, shoe cabinet and signed poster belonging to another person in High Wycombe.

Lindsey was brought before Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on August 25, where he pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage and assault.

The offender managed to avoid jail, but the magistrates instructed him to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work within the next year.

He was also ordered to pay £1,000 compensation to cover the damage he had caused.
