Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock will make her big-screen debut as fans are given the first glimpse of the festive comedy Boxing Day.

The High Wycombe-born singer, will aptly play the role of an international pop star who is reunited with her ex's much to the annoyance of his American fiancée.

Taking to Little Mix's social media Leigh-Anne said she was 'proud and overwhelmed' to have landed her role in the Christmas film, which boasts an all-black cast including Aja Naomi King and Aml Ameen.

She said: "Guys I'm going to be in a movie. I can't tell you how proud and over whelmed I feel right now!

"An all black cast Christmas RomCom. Boxing Day is Out December 3rd in cinemas!

"Please support and spread the word! I'm so flipping excited for this."

The trailer starts with British author Melvin (Ameen) proposing to his American girlfriend Lisa (Naomi King) but the moment is ruined when she vomits onto the carpet, leading Melvin to joke she ruined the "best proposal ever".

He then vows to try again after returning from their Christmas trip to London where he appears on a chat show where he is asked why he didn't fall in love with a British woman.

This is when Leigh-Anne makes her first appearance as the pop star Georgia and her complicated history with Melvin is revealed which leaves Lisa furious saying: "We've had sex to her music."

In addition to Leigh-Anne, Ameen and Aja, Marianne Jean-Baptiste also stars in the film which comes out on December 3.

In March, it was reported that Leigh-Anne had signed a solo deal with an entertainment PR agency for music, film and TV projects as well as keeping her Little Mix commitments, so this may not be the last time we see her on the big screen.
