CCTV images have been released after a woman was reportedly raped in an Amersham pub. 

A man, aged 35, has been arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with the incident at the Chequers Pub in London Road that happened at around 11pm on Friday, September 3. 

Police are continuing their investigation and have released CCTV images of two witnesses who apparently spoke to a male and a female at the bar before the incident and who may be able to help them. 

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Tom Gregory, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who recognises these two men, or if one of them is you, to please get in touch with police.

“Following our enquiries, I believe these two men may have been speaking to a woman and a man at the bar before the incident happened and as such they may have important information that could help the investigation.
