For Then and Now this week, we are looking at the railway line in High Wycombe being built.
The image is facing east with this being a view of construction of the brick retaining wall in the railway cutting below Priory Avenue.
The date of the photo is from May 1904 – 117 years ago.
Thankfully for commuters, the railway line in High Wycombe is still in working use today!
