A popular park near the Bucks/Ox border has launched a new event at its children’s playground.

Stonor Park, which is based in Henley-On-Thames, Oxfordshire, will have a Moon Witch’s Halloween Adventure themed area at Tumblestone Hollow this Halloween, to celebrate the release of the brand new book of the same name by the best-selling author, Amy Sparkes.

The Moon Witch’s Halloween Adventure, which runs from October 20-31, makes its debut this year with some witchy mayhem and ghastly ghoulish goings on around the park, which are set to thrill families across the spooky season.

William and Lady Ailsa Stonor said: “Autumn is a special time at Stonor Park – with the beautiful trees changing colour, the deer rutting season underway and all the magic and fun of Halloween, it’s one of the best times to visit.

“Our newest children’s book, The Moon Witch and The Thief, is out later this year and is based on a witch’s adventure, so there’s no better time to celebrate this than Halloween.

“With spine-tingling book previews at the event, along with the spooky trail through the gardens and frightful pumpkin carving, all set in the picturesque parkland and playground, it’s the ideal place for families and special groups of friends, to spend precious time together.

“We hope visitors enjoy the sneak previews of the book and all that Stonor Park has to offer at this fang-tastic time of year.”

Suitable for children up to the age of 11 and their families, The Moon Witch’s Halloween Adventure is open from 9:30am to 5pm, with pumpkin carving taking place every hour.

Tickets prices: adults £8.50, children over 105cm £11, Children 92cm to 105cm £9, children under 92cm and adult carers go free, with pumpkin carving sessions available for an additional £5.
