Police have arrested a second man following an assault in High Wycombe town centre.

In the early hours of Friday morning, police arrested an 18-year-old man from High Wycombe after a man in his twenties was taken to hospital.

Thames Valley Police has now revealed that a second man has been arrested in connection with the same incident, which took place in Glenisters Road.

The second man, a 19-year-old from High Wycombe, was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Both of the suspects have since been released on police bail.

The victim was discharged from hospital on Friday.

The incident, which took place at around 3.30am, prompted a police presence in town, with officers seen conducting inquiries in Glenisters Road, Temple End and Frogmoor.
