Police are investigating an overnight break-in at the John Lewis store in High Wycombe.

The burglary happened between 4.40am and 4.50am this morning (October 26) with the officers at the scene until the early afternoon.

A hole in the building's wall can be seen pictured below which led straight to one of the till points inside the store.

Bucks Free Press:

The offenders have been described by Thames Valley Police as white males, aged in their late teens to early twenties and were said to be wearing hooded tops, gloves and face masks.

The hole in the store building has since been boarded up as police continue to investigate.

A John Lewis spokesperson: "We’re very grateful to the police for their swift response to this incident.

"We have shared CCTV footage with the police and are assisting them with their investigation."

Bucks Free Press:

A Thames Valley police spokesman said: "Anybody with any information, or who believe that they may have witnessed the incident, should call 101, quoting reference number 43210482541.

"We would particularly like to hear from anybody who may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam to please check this and contact the force if it has captured anything that could assist this investigation."
