A private security company is being hired by a parish council to tackle ongoing anti-social behaviour that is blighting residents.

Flackwell Heath has been suffering with repeated incidents of bad behaviour - including racist graffiti, damage to play equipment in parks and flowers and bollards being damaged.

Chepping Wycombe Parish Councillor Luca Webb branded the incidents “mindless vandalism” that was not welcome in the village.

Now, in a bid to cut down on bad behaviour at nighttime, councillors have voted to hire a private security company.

Signs are being put up at the recreation ground in Straight Bit to advise of the new nighttime security presence. The signs feature a number that residents can call to report any concerning incidents and a security guard will respond “swiftly”.

The council said they are “committed to reducing the high levels” of bad behaviour.
