A global vacuum cleaner company with a base in High Wycombe has gathered a brave bunch of people - each with their own inspiring story - to get their kit off for a naked charity calendar.

SEBO UK, based at the Cressex Business park, has partnered with a “wonderful” group of Instagram cleaning friends to raise cash for the fight against breast cancer.

Out of a group chat of keen cleaners on Instagram during lockdown, the idea for a naked calendar to raise money and awareness for the Pink Ribbon Foundation was born.

When the group of cleaning friends - who named themselves ‘The Naked Family’ - approached the Pink Ribbon Foundation with their idea, the charity reached out to SEBO UK to see if they wanted to get involved as the Foundation was the company’s chosen charity.

Of course, they said yes and the company - which is the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial upright vacuum cleaners - has now said it is “excited and honoured” to be able to launch The Pink Calendar for 2022.

The cheeky calendar features tasteful photographs of the friends in the nude - and there are even some special themed photos, like a naked group shot where participants are armed with presents and donning Santa hats.

Rachel, known as @mymaidmumma on Instagram, is a spokesman for ‘The Naked Family’ and explained how the idea came about.

She said: “Once upon a time there was a chat group of cleaners supporting each other through lockdown, within that chat became an idea.

“This idea needed a voice, I chose to be the voice and spoke with the amazing Pink Ribbon Foundation, who in turn took the idea to SEBO UK.

“SEBO UK I have followed for my entire Instagram journey, a family, friendly, supportive company that I admire and love to be a part of.

“When SEBO and Pink Ribbon also confirmed they thought our idea was a winner, the group grew. We now have a ‘naked family’, who mean that world to me!

“This project will go on to raise awareness and funds for a superb charity. But thanks to SEBO and Pink Ribbon, our Naked Family is now unbreakable.”

The Pink Calendar 2022 is priced at £12.95, with all profits going to the charity.

Lisa Allen, head of corporate partnerships at The Pink Ribbon Foundation, said: “We thank the team at SEBO UK for their hard work and support of the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

“Working together has been very well received by both their staff and of course by all of the customers who have supported the partnership and purchased one of their pink charity vacuum cleaners.

“Together we have raised awareness of this terrible disease and vital funds to support those affected breast cancer.”

Susie Cunningham, SEBO UK director, said the company has also designed some eye-catching vacuum cleaners that raise cash for the foundation.

She said: “When some of our fabulous Instagram friends suggested showcasing our SEBO vacuum cleaners in a fun and positive way to help us support our chosen charity, The Pink Ribbon Foundation we couldn’t say no.

“Our journey with breast cancer is a personal one, which is why we are proud to be supporting The Pink Ribbon Foundation.

“We wanted to design a unique range of contemporary vacuum cleaners in eye-catching designs and colours.

“We donate 25 per cent of profits from every Pink Ribbon machine we sell to the charity to help raise monies and awareness for all those affected by breast cancer.”
