For this week’s Then & Now, we are focusing on what Marlow once looked like in the 1950s and the 1970s.
First, we have the entrance porch to Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School on West Street, with the black and white image being taken in August 1958, just before the 1958/59 academic year.
As you can see, the entrance of the school has remained relatively untouched over the last 60 years.
The second photo is from June 2017.
Just down the road is the junction between West Street, Spittal Street and the High Street.
The first image was taken in May 1973 with the second photo being snapped in June 2017.
