An Amersham based home care provider has been shortlisted in two categories at the fifth annual SME Business Awards - Best Employer of the Year and Service Excellence.

Ashridge Home Care, which provides live-in and visiting carers for vulnerable and elderly people across the South East of England, have been recognised for hard work over the last 12 months with the final taking place on Friday, December 3 at Wembley Stadium.

Company Founder Trudi Scrivener said: “These award nominations come at a particularly apt time for us as we are recruiting to employ more carers as we head into the colder winter months.

“The profile of live-in care as the best and safest solution has been raised dramatically in the past two years and demand for reliable qualified carers has increased threefold.

“To be nominated in the best employer category makes me especially proud as we strive to create a happy working environment for our carers who in return look after our clients with outstanding professionalism and genuine empathy.

“We have several roles to fill at the moment ranging from visiting carers, field care supervisors, office based roles and live-in carers.”

Corrina Bignall, who joined Ashridge Home Care in May this year as the Recruitment and Training Manager, is actively promoting the SME National Business Award nominations to recruit new carers.

She said: “Feedback has been great from our existing carers that we’ve been nominated in the Service Excellence category.

“They are very proud to be part of an organisation that cares so much about delivering the best possible care for its clients and their families.

“I am seeing lots of new candidates who are switching careers at a point in their lives where they want to give back to the community.
