Snow is expected to fall tonight in Bucks as Storm Arwen arrives in the UK.

The wintery weather is forecasted to hit High Wycombe, Marlow Beaconsfield, Amersham and Chesham as well as north of the county in Aylesbury and Milton Keynes. 

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for this weekend as snow could potentially start falling from 11pm into the early hours of Saturday morning (November 27).

In High Wycombe, there is 60% chance of sleet at 11pm increasing to an 80% chance of heavy snow at 1:00am.

It is then predicted to turn back into sleet again at 2am before the snow is welcomed back in the early hours of the morning from 6am.

The warning says: "Whilst most areas will see spells of rain there is a small chance of this turning to snow on Saturday morning leading to some disruption.

"There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.

"There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off.

"There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected."
