A MAN accused of supplying fake passports to some of the UK’s most notorious organised criminals is set to appear at Reading Crown Court.

Christopher McCormack, from Lewisham, has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, converting criminal property and two counts of conspiracy to make false instruments.

The Crown Prosecution Service said he was allegedly involved in an international criminal passport supply gang.

John Davies, head of the Organised Crime Division, said: “The CPS has authorised charges against Christopher McCormack, 66, following a review of a file of evidence submitted by the National Crime Agency.

"He is charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, money laundering, and two counts of making a false instrument.”

According to reports, McCormack was arrested in connection with the supply of fraudulent passports to some of the UK’s most notorious organised criminals.

McCormack was due to appear at Reading Crown Court for a hearing on November 22, but the hearing was adjourned.

He will now appear at Reading Crown Court for a hearing on Tuesday, December 21.
