A drug dealer who was caught with cocaine and nearly £2,000 hidden in his clothes has been locked up for more than three years.

Imran Butt, aged 28, was sentenced to three years and four months in jail after he was caught with large quantities of drugs in Aylesbury.

Butt, of no fixed abode, was stopped and searched by police officers in Aylesbury at 12.30am on April 19, 2019 when he was suspected of dealing in the area.

Officers found several wraps of cocaine concealed in Butt’s clothing, as well as more than £1,700 in cash.

Butt pleaded guilty to one charge of possession with intent to supply cocaine and was sentenced at Amersham Law Courts on Tuesday.

The offender had originally denied the offence, but on the day his trial was supposed to begin, on September 29, he changed his mind and pleaded guilty.

Investigating officer PC Levi Fensom of the Aylesbury Stronghold team, said: “This is yet another drug dealer that we have removed from the streets of Aylesbury.

“We will continue to target and pursue those who seek to deal drugs in our communities and through our Stronghold campaign, will make the towns and villages of the Thames Valley a hostile place for dealers to commit these offences.

“Drug dealers often target the most vulnerable people in our communities, and we will continue to take a very robust approach to anybody who wishes to participate in these illicit activities.

“Butt will now have to serve a prison sentence where he can reflect on his actions.”
