The A41 through central Aylesbury has been shut due to a serious road crash.
The A41 Friarage Road, between the Aylesbury Station car park and Morrisons, has been closed by police in both directions.

Friarage Road is closed in both directions between Morrisons and Train Station car park.
Please avoid the area and plan an alternative route.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that the closure was due to a road traffic colission, but would not comment further.
The closure has caused severe congestion in the town centre, and police have urged drivers to find alternative routes, with emergency services on the scene.
The incident was first reported at around 1.25pm
