This weekend Wycombe Museum is allowing guests to go back in time as they host a Tudor Christmas.

The event will take place at Castle Hill House with guests able to take part in crafts, play festive games and learn all about a traditional Tudor Christmas in the history trail.

The Orpheus Choir will be performing Christmas carols from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and a mystery gift tombola will give guests a chance to win items from the museum shop.

This event is primarily for primary school-aged children but the museum says "smaller children are welcome, but may require an extra helping hand."

The museum's cafe will be open with seasonal food and drink available for all the family for the duration of the day.

The event will run from 10:30am to 4pm on Sunday (December 12) with the museum expecting it to take around an hour for guests to complete all of the activities.

Only children require tickets for the event each costing £6.

A spokesperson for the museum said: "'Go back in time with your family at Castle Hill House as we prepare for a Tudor-time Christmas.

"Take part in crafts, play festive games, learn all about a traditional Tudor Christmas with our history trail, and hear carol performances from the Orpheus Choir.
