A woman has been ordered to pay up after she stole more than £700-worth of handbags from TK Maxx in High Wycombe.

Zuzana Korenova, 41, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft after she admitted to stealing handbags worth £749.93 in the space of a week.

On November 12, Korenova entered the shop in the Eden Centre and left without paying for £399.95-worth of goods, before returning on November 16 to lift more handbags worth £349.98.

At Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on November 30, the defendant admitted her crimes and was sentenced by the magistrates.

The justices ordered that she pay £490 in compensation to the shop, but she was not handed any further punishment.
