A man assaulted two boys near Aylesbury College and stole an e-scooter from one of them.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a theft that took place in Aylesbury.

On Monday, at around 6.45pm, a man started following a boy on Bourg Walk Bridge.

As the boy walked down the canal footpath towards Aylesbury College, the man approached him and asked the boy what he had in his pockets. He then assaulted him.

Nothing was taken in this incident, but the man ran away after attacking the victim.

The offender then assaulted another boy on Bourg Walk Bridge and stole his e-scooter. The victim did not need hospital treatment.

Police have urged any witnesses to the incidents to come forward and have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attacks.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Mandy Cutler, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who recognises the man in this image to please get in touch as we believe he may have information in connection with this theft.

“You can contact us either making a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 43210517231.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
