A woman has been raped in High Wycombe town centre.

Police have released a CCTV image of two women who are believed to have helped the victim after she was raped, and have asked them to come forward and help with their investigation.

At around 2am on October 1, a woman in her twenties was in Pauls Row, near O’Neill’s pub, when she was approached by a man who orally raped her.

Police have asked for witnesses to the incident to come forward and have released an image of two women they believe aided the victim after she was attacked.

The victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is not in the image.

A 21-year-old man from High Wycombe was arrested on suspicion of rape and has been released on bail.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sarah Simpson, based at High Wycombe police station said: “I am releasing this image as I believe that the women in this image helped to get the victim to safety following the incident and we would like to speak to them.

“If you recognise who these women are, or believe them to be you, please get in touch with Thames Valley Police either online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43210441815.”
