Air Force personnel are among those helping to transform a village thanks to recent funding.
Chalfont St Peter Parish Council won funding from the Denham, Gerrards Cross and The Chalfonts Community Board to help make the village the “most nature-rich” in Bucks.
The Chalfont St Peter Big Biodiversity Battle will involve all aspects of the community, including the Chiltern Rangers with whom it has partnered, RAF Halton, students from The Chalfonts Community College, and local residents.
Ten sites around the village have been identified for improvement and habitat creation, with events happening up to and through Spring 2022.
Work has already started with hedgerow planting at the Garden of Rest.
