UPDATE: Thames Valley Police confirm they have found Sophia Capone "safe and well" this afternoon. 

A 14-year-old girl has been missing since late last night as police continue to search for her with growing "concerns for her welfare".

Police are now appealing for the public's help to find Sophia Capone who was last seen in the Oldbrook area of Milton Keynes, at around 11pm yesterday (December 27).

She is known to frequently visit the  Oldbrook and Fishermead area as well as CMK and Xscape.

She also has connections to Bedfordshire and Newcastle.

Thames Valley Police have described Sophia as white, 5ft 2 inches tall, medium build with long brown hair and she was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey leggings and grey trainers.

PC Daisy Barton, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in tracing Sophia as we are concerned for her welfare.

“We would ask anyone who knows where she might be or has seen someone matching her description to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 43210582013.”
