Two women were taken to John Radcliffe Hospital after they were hit by a car late at night.

Emergency services descended on Holmer Green Road in Hazlemere with police officers closing off the road at around 00:35am on December 28.

Two paramedic officers, two ambulance crews and the critical care car from the Thames Valley Air Ambulance were also on the scene treating the women.

Police first closed off the road from Hazlemere crossroads, before reopening the road up until Park Lane, whilst they shut the road by Park Parade.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 00:34am to Holmer Green Road to two female patients who were hit by a car. 

"We sent to the scene two paramedic officers, two ambulance crews and the critical care car from the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. 

"They were assessing and treating two patients, both were treated at the scene by all our crews and taken to John Radcliffe Hospital."
