Waitrose in Beaconsfield is currently cordoned off by police with the supermarket being evacuated this afternoon.

UPDATE: Bomb squad destroy 'suspicious package' at Waitrose following evacuation

An alarm went off at around 3.30pm as shoppers were left standing outside with their items. 

Police have since shut off both roads leading to the car park and closed off the grass area by the shop.

Waitrose staff are still standing outside the supermarket as officers continue to deal with the incident.
