Police are looking for a man following a robbery at Waitrose in Amersham on Sycamore Road.

The robbery took place as the man entered the building through the rear staff door after it was unlocked at around 5:30am on December 31.

He then threatened the staff and is believed to have exited the shop via the same rear staff door.

In a post on social media, Thames Valley Police said: "The suspect has been described as a black male and between 5'10" and 6' tall.

"He was wearing a hat, face covering, black coat, waterproof over trousers and a black rucksack.

"Please report any information you have regarding this incident to us quoting 43210586063."
