PLANS to convert a vacant building into flats have been submitted to the council.

Life Build Solutions Ltd has submitted to Bucks Council a ‘change of use’ application for P&A House, on Alma Road, in Chesham.

Plans outline the conversion of a ‘light industrial building to 10 apartments (one and two-bed mix)’.

The site is currently vacant and has been since January 2021, however it was a printworks.

Alma Road is believed to be home to other commercial businesses, including a mechanics – and neighbours have in the past complained about parking issues along what they previously called an “already busy road”.

“No intrusive groundworks are envisaged as part of this proposal,” documents state. “Each of the habitable rooms would enjoy adequate levels of natural light.”

Officers will now decide what becomes of the application.
