A hotel on the Rivers Thames has created a romantic spot in Marlow for marriage proposals.

The Macdonald Compleat Angler hotel has transformed its outdoor dining pods to create a magical setting for the occasion.

The four-star hotel has unveiled a proposal package to help pop the special question in style.

Staffed with a dedicated server throughout the evening, the heated pods have been decked out with candles, fairy lights and flowers.

They are also complete with Bluetooth speakers, allowing diners to create the perfect ambiance with their favourite songs.

Couples will be welcomed with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Champagne on arrival before being shown to their private outdoor dining area.

Here you will get views of the River Thames, the iconic Marlow Bridge and the All Saints’ Church whilst enjoying a spectacular six course meal prepared by award-winning chefs.

Erick Kervaon, General Manager of Macdonald Compleat Angler Hotel, said: “We are so fortunate at the Macdonald Compleat Angler Hotel to have one of the best and most romantic views in Marlow.

“Our outdoor garden is iconic and has been the site of so many wonderful proposals over the years. By transforming our beautiful, private dining pods into a romantic haven, we’ve created one of the most magical and special places in Marlow to pop the question.

“That said, our dining pods are also perfect for those simply looking to enjoy a romantic meal together and proposing to your loved one is not a requirement to hiring them out.”

Macdonald Compleat Angler’s Valentine’s Day dining pods are available throughout February with prices starting from £300 per couple.
