Firefighters were called out following a suspected arson in a Buckinghamshire hamlet.

Between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Sunday, January 23, the emergency services visited the area of Station Road, Horsenden, which is one mile away from Princes Risborough, after 400 tonnes of hay were set on fire in a barn.

Crew members from High Wycombe, as well as Thame and Wheatley in Oxfordshire, attended the scene where they used three main jets and a thermal imaging camera to put out the fire.

The officers monitored the barn through the night and throughout Monday, January 24, to check for hot spots, and damping down.

The RSPCA also attended the scene to care for a number of doves that were found in the barn.

Bucks Fire and Rescue have confirmed that Thames Valley Police have been made aware of the incident.

TVP have since asked members of the public who live in area, to submit any CCTV or Ring doorbell footage to help them with their investigation.
