A woman has been seriously injured and a girl left needing hospital treatment after a suspected hit and run crash in High Wycombe.

On Thursday, January 20, two cars and a van were involved in a collision on Hatters Lane, near the Totteridge Road roundabout – with one of the cars failing to stop at the scene.

A silver Nissan Juke, white Ford Transit van and a blue BMW X5 were involved in the smash.

The driver of the Nissan, a woman in her twenties, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where she continues to receive treatment.

The woman’s passenger, a girl, also needed hospital treatment, but has since been discharged. The van driver was not injured in the incident

The driver of the BMW did not remain at the scene.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward and aid with its investigation.

Investigating officer, PC Dawn Seston, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“I’d also ask any motorists with dash-cams who were in the area at the time this happened to please check any footage in case it may have captured something that could help with the investigation.
