A sex offender who committed nine sexual assaults in a Bucks town centre has avoided going to prison.

Modestas Sidarkovas, 25, has been given a 34-week sentence suspended for two years after he admitted to nine counts of sexual assault on a female.

Between October 5, 2021 and November 24, 2021, Sidarkovas sexually assaulted multiple women by touching them over their clothing while riding his e-scooter through Milton Keynes town centre

The offender, of Verity Place in Milton Keynes, was sentenced at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on January 19.

On top of the suspended sentence, Sidarkovas has been added to the sex offenders register for 10 years, ordered to pay £4,500 compensation to his victims, and made to forfeit his e-scooter.

He must also attend a rehabilitation programme.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Mandy Banfield, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I would like to praise all of Sidarkovas’s victims for coming forward and reporting this offending behaviour.

“As a result of their courage in coming forward, and members of the public providing information following numerous appeals, Sidarkovas has now been convicted and sentenced for these offences.

“He will face a significant period of time on the sex offenders’ register, will have to undergo rehabilitation and has also been ordered to pay compensation to his victims, who should have every right to go about their day-to-day lives without being subjected to this type of behaviour.

“Sidarkovas also knows that any further offending will result in his suspended sentence being activated, and I hope that he engages with the rehabilitation programme ordered and addresses this wholly unacceptable conduct.”
