The queues
The M40 southbound is closed this evening due to a "serious collision".
The motorway is closed between junction 2 for Beaconsfield and junction 1a for the M25.
Highways England said there has been a serious crash and Thames Valley Police and traffic officers are on the scene.
An eyewitness, who is stuck in the queues, said there are lots of police and ambulances on the scene.
