A group of bird eggs were saved as a tree collapsed in a road in Buckinghamshire.

Spring Coppice Lane, to the first turning towards Great Hampden, had been closed for almost 30 minutes while the services waited for tree surgeons to enter the scene.

According to the Thames Valley Police, four bird eggs were also saved after falling out of the tree.

Storm Corrie struck the UK over January 30 and 31, causing issues across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

Another example of the force of Storm Corrie was in Kings Road, Reading.

Thames Water road barriers had fallen into the road, into a busy bus lane.

Thames Water had been made aware of the issue and sent the repair team out to the scene.
