Police officers have been out on patrol this morning in the Totteridge area of High Wycombe.

The police community support officers were out and about in the area following an attempted burglary earlier this week.

The officers were seen patrolling in Mayhew Crescent and other nearby residential streets.

Thames Valley Police have increased their presence in the area to provide visibility and reassurance for residents, and to deter potential criminals from targeting the area.

There is an increased burglary risk during the winter due to longer night-time hours and fewer people outdoors after dark.

Police advise keeping all windows and doors locked when out of the house and keeping valuables out of sight at night time.

If any residents have concerns about potential issues in the area, they can approach the officers.

If you have any information regarding an attempted break-in in the area, call the police on 101. Always use 999 in an emergency.
