Penn Wood and Old Amersham Councillor Mark Dormer said: “The last year and a half has been really challenging, losing loved ones, going in and out of lockdown, the impact on our children’s education, the strain on our mental health, fears and concerns for elderly friends and relatives.

“But during these testing times, there were individuals and community groups who stood up to be counted, ’unsung heroes’ who went ‘above and beyond’ and who put the health and well-being of others ahead of themselves and these are the people we want to thank."

While the event is free for all, people are advised to email amersham@buckinghamshire.gov.uk to confirm attendance to help monitor numbers.
