Valentine’s Day is supposed to be a celebration of love and romance – but some people in Bucks are fighters, not lovers, as it turns out.

Plenty of Buckinghamshire offenders were caught committing crimes on St Valentine’s Day last year, from harassment to speeding.

Here is a list of all the Bucks criminals who broke the law on that special day in 2021 – here’s hoping fewer crimes are committed this year.

Benjamin Bentley, 52, of School Lane, Aylesbury. Exceeding the 30mph speed limit in Launton Road, Bicester, on February 14, 2021. Speed recorded was 40mph. Fined £66. Costs £34. Driving record endorsed with three points.

David Risley, 56, of Farmers Place, Chalfont St Peter. Exceeding the 70mph speed limit on the M25, Iver Heath, on February 14, 2021. Fined £849. Costs £195. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Michael Thomas, 54, of Newport Road, Milton Keynes. Harassment without violence. Between February 14, 2021 and February 16, 2021, harassed his victim by sending them 34 Facebook messages which were threatening in nature. Restraining order made. Community order made. Fined £950. Costs £180.

Andrzej Karczewski, 25, of The Crescent, Slough. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in Windsor Road, Slough, on February 14, 2021. Fined £600. Costs £230. Disqualified from driving for six months.

Thomas Stokes, 28, of Glazier Drive, Neath Hill. Exceeding the 30mph speed limit in Princes Way, Bletchley, on February 14, 2021. Speed recorded was 39mph. Fined £100. Costs £124. Driving record endorsed with three points.
