An uninsured driver has been summoned to court following a crash on a dark village road last week.

Police were called to a smash on Main Road in Naphill last Thursday night (February 24). 

Several parked cars were damaged from the incident at around 7.30pm.

Officers were still on the scene at 9pm as clear-up work continued hours after the incident.

Police placed a warning triangle on the street as one of the cars was left sticking out onto the road.

A man now faces court after he was allegedly driving without insurance.

No injuries have been reported from the crash.
