A beggar who harassed his victim by making multiple visits to his home and asking for money has been ordered to pay £1,000.

Sarfraz Mohammed, 38, of Harvey Road, Aylesbury, must pay £1,000 in compensation to his victim after he admitted to a charge of harassment without violence.

At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on February 21, the court heard how Mohammed harassed his victim by visiting their home in Bateman Drive on multiple occasions between April 2021 and June 2021, constantly asking him for money.

Mohammed admitted to a count of harassment without violence. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of public begging.

The court heard how on July 12, 2021, on two separate occasions, Mohammed placed was in Treves Green, Aylesbury, with the intention of either begging or gathering alms.

Sentencing him, the magistrates ordered Mohammed pay £1,000 in compensation to his victim. He was also ordered to pay a further £45 in compensation and £85 in court costs.
