Armed police descended on a busy High Wycombe road yesterday afternoon.
Photos from the scene show a number of officers with guns on Desborough Road near the junction with Westbourne Street on March 10.
They were there around 5pm and eyewitnesses said some officers also seemed to be inside a takeaway restaurant.

There were also reports of armed police in Totteridge Road the same evening, but it has not yet been confirmed if this was related to the same incident.
We have contacted Thames Valley Police for more information about the incident and will provide more details when we get them.
