A woman who was caught drink driving in Bucks has been ordered to pay up nearly £2,000.

Laura Henderson, aged 55, of Norwood Court in Amersham, was caught over the drink drive limit on the A413 dual carriageway in Amersham on March 17, 2021.

Henderson denied a charge of drink driving but was found guilty by magistrates at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on February 28.

After finding her guilty, the justices fined Henderson £1,009 and ordered her to pay a further £876 in costs, leaving her with a total bill of £1,885.

On top of that, she was also disqualified from driving for 13 months.

The court heard how on March 17 last year, Henderson was driving a Chrysler on the busy road in Amersham when she gave a breath test reading of 45 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit in England is 35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Henderson had pleaded not guilty to a charge of drink driving, but after hearing evidence the justices found her guilty.
