A man has been charged with causing the death of a 27-year-old mum in a fatal crash.
Guy Portwin, 72, has been charged in connection with the death of Amy Evans in a crash on the A413 Wendover Bypass on June 7, 2019.
Amy, who was from Great Kingshill, died when her Ford Focus was involved in a three-way crash with Portwin’s Land Rover Discovery and a VW Golf on the 60mph stretch of road.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (Friday), Portwin, of Marsh Road in Little Kimble, was also charged with two additional counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Portwin has not yet had an opportunity to plead guilty or not guilty to the charges. He is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on April 25.
Speaking after the hearing, Stephanie Barrett, Amy’s sister, said: “Amy was taken from us far too soon and the tragic crash has turned all of our lives upside down.
“It has been incredibly difficult to come to terms with losing Amy, she was an amazing mother, partner, sister and daughter who touched the hearts of everyone she met.“

Matthew Claxson, partner at the law firm Moore Barlow, supporting Amy’s family at court, added: “This is a particularly tragic case involving the loss of Amy.
“For Amy’s family, they will forever have to live with the impact of losing a loved one and we will continue to support them throughout the case.”
