This Saturday is Non-League Day, a crucial day in the calendar for all clubs below the EFL, especially as we continue to come out the pandemic.
It’s been a great season for non-league with some massive attendances across all levels, from the National League all the way down the tiers, but a great season could become even better if this weekend is a success.
These big attendances have been a massive help for the volunteer-run clubs who struggled so much during the various lockdowns.
This is set to be the first completed season at non-league level since 2018-19, showing the struggles that the clubs have gone through since the start of the pandemic.
However, we’re on the way out of it, and there are plenty of games in Buckinghamshire to go to this weekend with no Premier League or Championship action on offer.
There are two matches in the seventh-tier Southern League Premier Division South, where Chesham United welcome Poole Town and Beaconsfield Town host Wimborne Town.
The former holds much more importance, as neither Beaconsfield or Wimborne have much to play for. Chesham sit just one point behind the final play-off place, so a win here would be crucial for the Generals.
In the ninth-tier Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, there are a pair of Bucks derbies.

Holmer Green entertain Flackwell Heath with the hosts languishing in 14th and the visitors looking unlikely to finish any higher than fourth.
In one of the games of the day in the county, Risborough Rangers travel to Aylesbury Vale Dynamos looking to keep pace with league leaders New Salamis.
It’s also a game of note because you can get in for free on the basis that you make a donation to either Kit Aid or the Ukraine humanitarian appeal.
In the north of the county, the aforementioned New Salamis go to Milton Keynes Irish, and in the United Counties League Premier Division South, Newport Pagnell Town play host to Rothwell Corinthians.
There are two other games in Bucks on Saturday, both at neutral venues.
London Tigers welcome Raunds Town to Amersham’s Spratleys Meadow, and The Gore in Burnham is where a local derby in the form of Chalvey Sports v Langley will be played.
Maidenhead host Barnet in the National League just over the border in Berkshire, and not far from there, Slough play Braintree at Arbour Park.
Also just outside Bucks’ county border, there is Thame United v Kempston Rovers in the Southern League Division One Central, and Uxbridge v Marlow in the Isthmian League Division One South Central.
