The Chiltern Society has released a set of 46 new images online showing Chesham in 2017 to 2022 for publication free of charge.

The new photos were taken by Terry Cherrill, a long-time resident of Chesham and keen photographer, who has recorded the life and civic activities in the town – and its changes over the years.

In addition to its Photo Group, the Chiltern Society has walking, cycling and footpaths action groups, who look after the Chilterns heritage and maintain public footpaths and bridleways.

The charity was established in May 1965 and now boasts over 7,000 members and 400 active volunteers.

“People look through them not just in this country, but also people, who grew up Amersham and live in Germany and all over the world.

“The photos are free to use for education and publication purposes, but if it’s commercial, we ask for a donation for the charity.”

The Photo Group's gallery has over 7,200 photos from more than 250 locations stretching from Luton in the north-east to Goring in the south-west of Chilterns.

Other albums show photos of members favourite subjects, such as chalk rivers and streams, flora and fauna, canals, railways and nature reserves.

Mr Hunt said: “We’re a conservation group.

“Footpaths are kept clear by us, we’re around half dozen groups making sure footpaths are put back in.
