AN HMO is set to get bigger under new refurbishment plans.

Mr John Goss of Goss Properties Limited has submitted to Bucks Council a ‘change of use’ application for 20 Downs Park in High Wycombe.

Plans outline the ‘conversion of a six-bed HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy) by transforming a first floor living room to a bedroom, creating a seven-bedroom property’.

“The proposal seeks planning permission for the change of use of this six-bed house to a seven-bed House of Multiple Occupancy for professionals,” a planning statement.

“The purpose is to offer high quality, affordable shared accommodation to working professional people such as key workers, graduates, local workers, and those on secondment with their employment.”

Adding: “The applicant has also consulted with neighbours of the property, informing them of the proposed changes and providing photographs of the standards of accommodation to be achieved.

“To date, the applicant has not received any objections from neighbours.”

The applicant is now awaiting a decision from Bucks Council.
