A pair of fly-tippers must pay up more than £6,000 after they dumped a huge pile of waste on the side of a Bucks road that they could have disposed of for free.

Alexandru Feclistov, 29, and Ionut-Adrian Pandele, 38, both of Fairburn Avenue in Slough, were caught on camera dumping huge piles of waste at the side of Wexham Park Lane, in Wexham, on October 31 last year.

The pair were caught on covert cameras hidden nearby by Bucks Council, and were taken to Wycombe Magistrates’ Court where they each pleaded guilty to a charge of fly-tipping on March 16.

The court heard how the pair dumped the waste after moving into a new home together, and the magistrates were also told how they could have got rid of the rubbish for free at one of the council’s household recycling centres.

Sentencing the pair, the justices ordered that both men pay a £2,215 fine on top of £950 costs – meaning they each had to pay up a £3,165 bill.
