A drink driver who was caught nearly three times over the legal limit has been banned from the roads for two years.

Gurpreet Sidhu, 42, of Huntercombe North in Taplow, failed a breath test when he was caught behind the wheel of a black Land Rover in Lent Rise Road, Burnham, on February 11.

After giving a breath test, Sidhu gave a reading of 99 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on March 16, Sidhu pleaded guilty to charges of drink driving and driving without due care and attention.

Following his guilty plea, Sidhu was banned from driving for two years and ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.

He was also fined £461 and ordered to pay £95 in court costs.
